For those of you who have followed the Love Wins drama & wished it could be different; more cordial, loving, and productive – I would encourage you to take 55 minutes and watch this interview. Unlike most of what I’ve seen on radio and television surrounding Love Wins, this video portrays a very productive hour of discussion. It is fair minded, respectful, and yet still manages to show contrasts and disagreements without drawing caricatures or denigrating another’s character or faith. It is uncompromising dialog with an irenic tone. I’m really proud of all involved; kudos to Adrian Wornock & Rob Bell for showing us how to have this conversation in a respectful way.
More than anything, I think this discussion confirms that Rob Bell is a serious student and scholar of the scriptures, not a cultural relativist, and that he is not preaching warmed over liberalism. I hope you’ll watch!
