I confess that I’m struggling with a writing project right now, and feel like I’m spinning my wheels. I confess that I’m gripping because I need it to be really good, and right now it’s not good at all – not even close.
I confess that I’m sitting at my desk watching an Olathe Police officer pull people over again. This is the 3rd morning in the past week he’s been here and I think I’ve finally figured out his game. His first day here I figured out that he was only stopping commercial vehicles… heavy trucks. But, then I noticed he wasn’t stopping all heavy trucks, but I couldn’t figure out why some and not others. First I thought it was ones that appeared unsafe, but some of the crazy looking trucks (stuff hanging out the back or attached to the sides), were passing by. Then I thought it was speeding vehicles, but that’s not it – he just stopped a truck going about 25 mph. But then I noticed… the driver was Latino. I’m going to see if my theory is correct. I hope it is not.
I confess that my 2nd book Public Jesus was not released on June 01 & I’m still waiting for it to happen. Whenever it comes out, I’m really excited for folks to read it.
I confess that I think today is going to be a day of nasty political rhetoric, because the SCOTUS is likely to release its decision regarding the Health Care Reform Act. If you are looking for a good day to hit the pool and stay away from television, radio, and your computer, today would be the day.
I confess that our final membership class was last night & I’m really going to miss it. I’ve had a lot of fun getting to know some of the newer members of the RC Family & talking about what it means to be a part of Redemption Church. I’m sad that it is over.
I confess that I have now officially entered the part of summer where I pull off my trousers the moment I walk in the door to my house. If you ring the doorbell & it seems like it’s taking me a long time to answer, it’s because I’m getting dressed.
I confess that my wife and I are nearly finished with season 2 of “Rev” on the BBC. I can’t wait for season 3. I further confess that we are ordering the 3 month free trial of HBO today, so that we can watch season one of “The Newsroom,” even though the KC Star totally panned it in the Sunday paper.
I made my confession – you make yours!
