Jeff Gordon Teaches us How to Make an Enemy a Friend: a Little Friday Funny February 28, 2014

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus explicitly forbids taking any kind of revenge, or escalating a conflict toward violence or lawsuits. Instead he recommends that we use our imagination to win over our critics/haters, to make our enemies into friends.

Last year NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon filmed a Pepsi-MAX commercial where he took an unsuspecting car salesman on the test-drive of a lifetime – all with hidden cameras inside the car and along the course capturing the ride for a television commercial. At the time, a ton of people chimed in and called it fake. Pepsi and Gordon took a beating from a few of these folks. Instead of being bitter, they decided to spring their trap on a critic – and made an ardent fan in the process. It’s worth the time to watch it, and catch a glimpse of the kingdom.

On a personal note, I just have to confess: NASCAR is back. Dale Jr. won the Daytona 500. Jimmie Johnson got a top five. Jeff Gordon is making normal everyday guys completely wet themselves on hidden camera ride-alongs… so all is right in my world.

Enjoy your Friday everyone!
