It's Monday and raining, which! For Real! I am not bitter about because yesterday and the day before were so beautiful. And, I desperately need to face down the school room which would not happen if there was a remote chance of any of us getting to be outside. So today I will do that which I ought to do, and clean the school room, so that we can work in there instead of going into the living room to escape the chaos.
Anyway, have been meaning to get these pictures out into cyber space, where they can really, you know, be seen by all, because if there aren't pictures you'll think I'm either better or worse than I really am. Not that it's all about me.
Well, I lied, here is Glady's latest uncommissioned portrait of me. This is so much nicer than The Crying Mother fashioned by Eglantine. I love that she thinks I have blue eyes and pink cheeks. I don't know if the heart is hers or mine. Anyway, yay for a flattering picture.
These are in the garden, for real. I got them for my Easter table last year and then, sensibly, planted them out, and there they are. Amazing.
And look! Some color along the church!
On Saturday we had some BU students over for coffee and so I spent Friday and Saturday fussing over a lot of food, in a good way, I think, especially since none of it is left.
Little scones with lemon curd.
Pie Crust Cinnamon Roll Ups.
Apple Cake
And finally, here is Marigold on Sunday afternoon, pouting over a delectable plate of cardamom beef over rice. Oh the humanity.
And now I probably need to go putter around the house, doing those things which will make me feel like I'm being productive without effecting the reality of life at all.
