Imagination Is Greater Than Knowledge

Imagination Is Greater Than Knowledge December 29, 2011

By Bruce Adams

One of the most brilliant men to ever walk on this planet once said; “Imagination is greater than knowledge.” The man I am speaking of was Albert Einstein.

For those who may not be aware of it, Albert Einstein was a physicist and much of what he taught or wrote about came from his observation of things from that view point. Much of what I have read regarding Albert Einstein’s beliefs and theories regarding the fabric of time, are in agreement with what I have seen and know to be true. To me, Einstein was well on the way to explaining what it means to live in the awakened state. For example, when Einstein wrote a letter to the family of his lifelong friend Michelangelo Besso, he indicated that the human perception of life relative to linear time, is not a true representation of what REALITY actually is.

“For us physicists believe the separation between past, present, and future is only an optical delusion of consciousness, albeit a persistent one.” Albert Einstein

While it is not my intention to teach physics to the world, I do believe everyone would greatly benefit if they were just a little familiar with Einstein’s theory of relativity.

Looking at his statement above regarding linear time, (the separation between past, present, and future is only an optical delusion of consciousness) one could deduce that Einstein did in fact recognize that only the “Now Moment” is real. Everything else is in his words is an “optical delusion of consciousness”.

Toward the end of his life, he concluded that everything that was, is or will be, exists as a unified field.

For those of you who have read Prophet or Madman, you may recall a line that I am quit fond of. The line reads “God created a perpetual system that will move infinitely within the eternal moment.”

When I wrote that line, I had very little knowledge of Einstein or his theories. What I did have was a memory of experiencing myself as one with the unified field beyond the limits of time and space that Einstein theorized about.

If you have been following my blogs from the beginning, you may recall, I said I was gifted with an overview of creation for a couple of reasons. One was to clarify much of what Jesus was said to have taught and the other was to share the understanding of being from the awakened state.

Since that time, I have done my best to do just that which has led me to revisit the same obstacle many times over. The obstacle I am referring to is, trying to speak of something that others have not conscious memory of.

In a book written by Kahil Gibran titled “The Prophet”Gibran addressed this very point.

“For the vision of one man lends not its wings to another man.”

After years of frustration stemming from attempting do the impossible, I have come to realize that my job is not to present my experience for others to experience. Rather, through sharing knowledge and understanding the reader becomes empowered to experience their own awakening.

That said, I would like to get back to Einstein’s assertion that imagination is greater than knowledge. If knowledge is limited to linear time and imagination is free of such limitation, it becomes obvious that knowledge belongs to ego and imagination is connected to spirit. With that thought in mind, I am reminded of something that Christ said regarding your inability to operate both from the ego and spiritual views simultaneously. “do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speaks, but it is the Holy Spirit.”

No one can think and be fully present (consciously cognizant) at the same time. That is why

“Imagination is greater than knowledge.”

Regardless of your path or what religion you practice, if you wish to awaken yourself and live awakened in this world you may find yourself reinterpreting your view of reality itself!

More to come…

Love and Light,

Brother Bruce
