You Are What You Eat

You Are What You Eat 2011-12-11T15:26:08+00:00

By Bruce Adams

For years now we have been hearing how the food we eat affects our physical bodies. Most every one can understand that if we cut down on the amount of calories consumed while increasing the amount of calories burned, we will lose weight. Or if we increase the amount of calories consumed and cut down the calories burned we gain weight.

What is not so widely understood is how the thoughts we eat affect our experiences. After being instructed that I was to write about and teach the mechanics of Creation, I set out to discover what others knew and did not know about how things work from a spiritual sense.

I discovered  most people have been educated to the physical bodies but had little or no understanding of the interplay between themselves and creation. Through life experiences, enough knowledge has been gained to come up with warnings such as; “Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.”

From my personal observation, I was amazed at how little is truly known as to the power of thoughts/beliefs and how they affect our realities. To me, this ignorance has not only led to pain and suffering in this world but is its root cause.

When Jesus said,“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”, he did not say it must be for good or your thoughts must be loving to work.

The truth is, it does not matter whether your thoughts and beliefs are coming from your ego personality or your Spirit, the universe must respond to your request. This is symbolized perfectly when it was said “you reap what you sow.”

Again speaking from personal experience and looking from they spiritual view, I would say it is through understanding the power of thoughts and the beliefs that is the key to our awakening. Each of us in this world is ultimately responsible for our re-birthing and it can not happen without our conscious participation.

In closing, I wish to add a very important point. I do not mean to imply everyone must become Christian in order to become reborn. What I mean is, in the awakened state each becomes the Christ. Over the last few years I have heard many who have a misunderstanding of the teaching of Our brother Jesus, tell me that Jesus is the only way. They say if it is not true, what did he mean when he said,“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.”

To that I would say, what he meant was, living in the awakened state where we have moved beyond interpreting life through the filter of our ego judgmental minds is the only way to experience REALITY.

What many do not realize, is that whether you are awake or asleep there exists a universal law that will always ring true, you are what you eat.

Regardless of your path or what religion you practice, if you wish to awaken yourself and live awakened in this world you will have to struggle. More to come…

Love and Light,

Brother Bruce
