Pursued by Truth – Now at Patheos! October 10, 2014

Moving

Hello Dear Readers (old and new),

I am so excited to join the Catholic channel at Patheos.com. I feel it is apropos for a religious sister like me to be blogging “in community” rather than on my own, so that is just one reason among many why I am excited to join the awesome group of Catholic writers at Patheos.

Not much will be changing. I will still be writing about a variety of topics from a Catholic and particularly Pauline viewpoint.

I approach my writing with the attitude encouraged by Blessed James Alberione, the founder of my order, The Daughters of St. Paul (and the entire Pauline Family) who said:

We need to put down the scissors of censorship and pick up the camera and microphone. We need to speak in the language of our own time… because God is so beautiful.

And that is my approach to all the issues I write about. God is so beautiful. So even if I am writing about something that is difficult, heart-breaking or horrific, I will always try to approach it from a stance of truth rooted in hope, because our God is beautiful. If I ever veer from that approach, I trust my readers will help me get back on course.

If you want a fun, lighthearted introduction to Alberione’s approach to media you can watch this video, made by Clark Jaman, of Bl. James Alberione auto-tuned:

Some changes you will see:

– If you try to visit my current blog you will soon find yourself automatically redirected to Patheos.

– I plan to begin asking other writers to guest blog. Since I am blogging within the community of Patheos I would also like my blog to be a community too, not just Sr. Theresa Aletheia all the time. I hope to ask different writers, especially people who don’t normally blog, to write about a variety of issues in order to reveal the diversity and beauty found in our Church.

Blessings to all of you, thank you for your support, and I look forward to growing closer to God with you!

In Jesus Way, Truth and Life,

Sr. Theresa Aletheia
