Michael Messner, the pastor of Sacred Heart in Lancaster Pennsylvania, a church where two Daughters of St. Paul grew up, is in critical condition after a serious fall from a second floor balcony. Pieces of a broken railing were found around him and Father Michael was discovered lying on the ground between 3:30 and 4AM early Sunday morning.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you;
blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

February 28, 2015: Father Michael is still in critical condition, see this article for more information and please continue to pray for his recovery.

March 6, 2015: Father Michael’s condition is still very serious but he is showing small signs of improvement. See this article for more information.

April 2, 2015: Recent news updates are looking up. Apparently, Father Michael is now walking and talking. He still uses a feeding tube and is in need of serious rehabilitation therapy but the prospects seem to look better for recovery.
