Gospel supergroup Mary Mary, missing in action since the 2012 album Go Get It, has reunited with this rousing pop gospel tune inspired by the Ben-Hur movie. I saw both sisters, Erica and Tina Campbell, at a screening of the film at the Paramount Pictures lot, but had no idea what plans might be in the making.
As I sporadically saw their reality series, Mary, Mary, there were moments of tension that I assumed might be for the sake of television. However, the sisters have gone solo for the past several years. If the film, which centers on the important themes of forgiveness and reconciliation, can bring them back together, maybe it speak even louder to larger masses of moviegoers when it releases next month.
