Finding Faith, a powerful new inspirational thriller led by actress Paula Patton, is set to hit theaters nationwide on June 16, according to an announcement by Summer House Pictures, Black Bench Productions, and Third Eye Productions in collaboration with Fathom Entertainment.
Directed and written by LazRael Lison (“Style Me for Christmas,” “Christmas Angel”), “Finding Faith” stars Patton as Faith Mitchell, a devoted wife whose life is upended by sudden tragedy. The film follows her emotional journey as she grapples with grief and ultimately finds strength through family, faith, and friendship.
The ensemble cast includes Keith David (“The Princess and the Frog”), Emmy® Award winner Loretta Devine (Crash, Grey’s Anatomy), Stephen Bishop (“Moneyball”), Nadine Velazquez (“Flight”), and Demetrius Grosse (“Rampage”).
“Finding Faith was a production of true love, trust and faith on so many levels,” said Tatiana Chekhova, co-founder of Summer House Pictures and a producer on the film. “We hope the audience will enjoy this film and it will inspire others who need inspiration.”
Black Bench Productions founder Charles F. Porter II praised the film’s emotional depth and strong performances. “Audiences across the country will cry, laugh and sing while enjoying the experience,” he said.
Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment, called the film “unique and compelling,” noting its resonance with viewers and alignment with Fathom’s mission to bring inspirational stories to the big screen.
The film’s central theme draws from the scripture, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning,” as Faith rebuilds her life and rediscovers her purpose.
Produced by Lison, Chekhova, Porter, and Patton, with executive production by Marlon D. Haynes, Finding Faith is represented internationally by K5 International and will appear at the Cannes Film Festival. Marketing is led by Kelvis Clyde Duffie and Michelle Duffie of D3 Entertainment, with publicity by Vaughn Alveraz of CR8 Agency.
