Back in 2000, as I ran around doing interviews during Gospel Music Week, I collected this video of various Christian music artists offering greetings. Some of the groups and artists, such as Nicole C. Mullen, Switchfoot, Nichole Nordeman and Natalie Grant, were just getting started in the industry. A really cool video that reminds me of great times. You might also see a glimpse of someone who hadn’t really broken out yet, too. Read more

I’m a big fan of Nichole Nordeman. When her first project, Wide Eyed, released, I was absolutely floored by the songs like “To Know You” and the title track. Wise, soul-searching lyrics and simple, honest, effective delivery. This week, a video of her song “Slown Down” is tugging at the hearts of parents everywhere. On Facebook, it has amassed nearly 15 million views and the YouTube version is getting hundreds of thousands of hits as well. If you haven’t seen... Read more

Embed from Getty Images  Ever heard this story from Chris Pratt? “You’re destined for great things.” This was referenced in an article about him building a giant cross yesterday. “In Maui, about four weeks before I was discovered to go to California, I was hanging with my buddy. I wasn’t quite old enough to drink, so we got somebody to go in and buy us some alcohol. This guy came by and was like, ‘What are you doing tonight?’ I... Read more

Last night, I finally saw the film I’ve been waiting years, even decades, to see. Finally, my two favorite superheroes, Batman and Superman, graced the screen together in an epic film setting up the next decade or so of DC Comics superhero films. I thought it was a masterful story with depth, action and plenty of drama. But I’m not here to review it, because everyone else is doing that. My advice is to see if for yourself. What I... Read more

In the Bible, Christians are instructed to testify about the great things God has done, because they give Him glory while providing hope to those encountering similar circumstances. With that in mind, the newest faith-based film releasing during this Easter season shines bright at a time when so many in the world need that hope the most.  Miracles From Heaven is the latest release from producers T.D. Jakes and DeVon Franklin (Heaven Is For Real), along with Joe Roth, telling... Read more

By David Ball – Own work, Attribution, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=3514670 I had the chance to interview former presidential candidate and governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee last Wednesday. We spoke while he was driving and the focus of our conversation was on the film God’s Not Dead 2, which releases April 1. Huckabee plays a political commentator speaking about the main plot point of a teacher (Melissa Joan Hart) in a religious liberty case. Even so, I couldn’t resist asking him his presidential... Read more
