Made To Flourish Ohio presents “Entrepreneurship for Human Flourishing,” a one-day retreat for pastors who are serving churches in Ohio. You are invited to join Peter Greer, President and CEO of Hope International, to be encouraged and equipped in your capacity to further a robust theology of vocation in the local church and to help your congregation (re)integrate faith, work and economics for the common good.

Peter Greer is President and CEO of HOPE International, a global Christ-centered microenterprise development organization serving throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. Before beginning his role at HOPE, Peter worked as a microfinance practitioner in Cambodia, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda and earned a master’s degree from Harvard University. He has co-authored several books, including The Poor Will Be Glad, The Spiritual Danger of Doing Good, and Mission Drift. He also serves as the entrepreneur-in-residence at Messiah College and as a Praxis Venture Partner. Peter and his wife, Laurel, live in Lancaster, PA, with their three children.

Pastors are also encouraged to invite a marketplace leader from their congregation to attend the 4:00 p.m. session from Peter Greer about this topic of entrepreneurship and human flourishing, and then to stay afterward for dinner at 5:30 p.m. Please register your marketplace leader along with yourself when you complete the registration form. 

 

Your Expenses are Covered!

The Kern Family Foundation will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for all in attendance. For those traveling at least 60 miles to attend, the Foundation will cover one night’s lodging the night before the event if requested.

 

At the end of the event, representatives of Made to Flourish: A Pastors’ Network for the Common Good will present information about grants available from the Kern Family Foundation to churches in support of projects integrating faith, work, and economics in the service of human flourishing to the glory of God.
