Michele began contributing to Patheos in September 2023. In a recent conversation, she told Patheos, “Since I’ve started writing for Patheos, my royalties doubled this year…I was very happy…so people are reading and then buying my books.”
When asked what she enjoyed about contributing to Patheos, Michele replied, “One of the best aspects of writing for Patheos is the flexibility I have as a writer. I’m able to compose articles based on what I’m learning in my life and/or choose to write on seasonal and Christian holy days. It’s been wonderful to have so many options and the Patheos team has such a great variety of topics they suggest as well if writers get stumped for an idea on any particular week. Also, I’m not a techy person so the support I receive is simply stellar from my editor, Alan Crandall. I only have to email him, and he gets back with me quickly with the answers I need. It’s been terrific writing for Patheos these past eighteen months.”
Michele has this advice to future Patheos contributors: “Take advantage of the multi-leveled resources that have been developed for writers by the Patheos staff. I haven’t even exhausted the numerous contributor articles and suggestions as yet. The actual posting of each article has been created to be user-friendly and again, countless online resources will aid writers in developing the best pieces possible for their readers. The staff is there to encourage and help their contributors and I’ve experienced nothing but solid, real-time help and a generosity of spirit by the staff members.”
