Presidential Who’s Who Scam

I’d like to express my gratitude to the scammers behind Presidential Who’s Who for sending me an e-mail today and thus giving me this opportunity to warn others about them. The e-mail below contains a link that supposedly leads to the web site of this “prestigious organization.” But the link takes you to a different site first – if you just type in the address yourself, you’ll find the site is a dud.

So be warned – like every other Who’s Who organization I’ve heard of thus far, this is a scam. Don’t fall for it!

Here’s the text of the message I received, which is presumably identical to that received by many others:

It’s our pleasure inform you that on January 5th, 2010 your information was reviewed and accepted for inclusion in the 2010 edition.

Presidential Who’s Who Each year, recognizes and selects key executives, professionals and organizations in all disciplines and industries for outstanding business and professional achievements.

This recognition is shared by those who have reached a distinguished level of success in their chosen profession.

Please take a moment to complete the invitation by clicking on the link below. We ask that you complete it carefully, as it will be reviewed by our editorial department.
