Thanks to ProfHacker for sharing the news that an add-on is available for Google Chrome and Firefox which will restore the “share” function in Google Reader.
I am trying it out, and so have put the feed reader with shared items from other blogs back in the sidebar! It took a moment, but soon updated with new content.
Others who miss the Google Reader sidebar may also want to try it out. Let me know how it works for you!
The one downside is that this will not allow one to share items to the sidebar from devices such as an iPad. Are there others?
Whatever the disadvantages, it is good to have the sidebar back on my blog!
