Iโm sharing it not only because it is at the intersection of religion and science fiction โ an intersection I enjoy exploring both professionally and personally โ but also because it helpfully highlights religion as something typically human, and the question whether artificial intelligences we create might possibly wish to explore this aspect of being human.
This is, of course, one of the major focuses of my chapter โRobots, Rights, and Religionโ in the volume Religion and Science Fiction.
