Talking about Einstein’s God

Talking about Einstein’s God October 19, 2012

About a week and a half ago, I did an interview with WIBC news radio on the subject of the letter that was up for auction on eBay, in which Albert Einstein commented candidly about his religious beliefs – including some statements that were rather negative about the Bible and Judaism, which was his own background.

Below I am embedding the podcast, in case anyone is interested in having a listen. You can also download the mp3.

Here are some interesting passages from Einstein’s recently sold [Tuesday] “God letter:”

“The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still purely primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish,”

[Judaism] “like all other religions,” is an “incarnation of primitive superstition.”
