This actually connects up directly with the topic that we discussed in my class on religion and science fiction today. What makes a being worthy of worship? If it turned out that aliens created our universe, or parted the sea and led the Israelites to freedom, or whatever else, would the fact that what was called a “miracle” might now be referred to as a “tractor beam” make any difference, and should it?
