He Gave His Life

He Gave His Life January 2, 2016

I am pretty sure that this image is just a Star Wars fan trolling Christians. But of course, Qui-Gon does look a lot like the stereotypical image of Jesus, he dies fighting a bad guy who looks a lot like traditional views of the devil, and he manages to resurface from the netherworld of the Force, which is not exactly a resurrection, but still adds up to him fitting a lot of the superficial Christ-figure motifs. So what do you think is worth saying about this meme?

Clearly more evidence that Jesus was a myth borrowed whole cloth from legends a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. 🙂

I always knew Jesus was an Irishman!

In fairness, he was also Aslan the Lion, so I suppose that sort of makes him Jesus, if you look at it from a certain point of view.
