When I saw this in the description of a course taught at a German university, I had to laugh:

The information on the page in question is otherwise in English.

    Of course, it could be the spell-checker making automatic changes! Mine has certainly turned Englisch into English when I’ve been typing German. (Indeed, I just had to type that twice right now!)

    • I’m sure that is probably it. But I still find it funny that the one word that isn’t in English on that page is the word for “English.” And that it is thus telling students that the language of instruction will be in English…in German.
