ΘeoCon 2019

ΘeoCon 2019 April 5, 2019

Details have been announced about the 2019 ΘeoCon, which this year will take place at Messiah College in Pennsylvania on September 28th. I’m including the general information about the event from the website below. But before moving on to that, let me first ask if any other academics with an interest in the intersection of pop culture and theology might have an interest in putting a panel together. If so, let me know. Otherwise, feel free to propose a standalone presentation through the ΘeoCon website.

ΘeoCon, pronounced (thee-oh-con), is a one-day convention in which participants will be introduced and invited to explore themes of theology, religion, and morality in pop culture. Pop culture mediums include, but are not limited to: comic books, graphic novels, and science-fiction (sci-fi) films. Methods of exploration include: guest speakers, panel discussions, exhibits, gaming, and cosplay. All are welcome!

Doors open at 8am for guest check-in. We encourage advance ticket purchases to assure an expedient check-in process. The Boyer Center is wheelchair accessible and has elevators in its space.
