Call for Papers
The Tenth International Conference on Jewish Names will take place at
Bar-Ilan University on Tuesday March 22, 2011 at Bar-Ilan University,
Ramat-Gan, Israel. The steering committee invites papers on Jewish personal
names, family names, epithets and place-names from the biblical period
through the modern age, from all Jewish communities world-wide and from all
fields of research, including Judaic studies, linguistics, literature,
sociology, anthropology, genealogy, and toponymics. Papers will be given in
Hebrew and English.Scholars who wish to present papers are requested to send a 300 word
abstract, clearly stating contribution and a short bibliography, to one of
