About/Bio

Sarah Thebarge is an international speaker, journalist and the author of The Invisible Girls and WELL. She studied medicine at Yale, and journalism at Columbia. She has practiced medicine in Togo, the Dominican Republic and South Sudan. She also started a clinic in Kenya for children who lost their parents to AIDS. She’s a spokesperson for Compassion International and Vanity Fair’s Women Who Do campaign. Her writing has appeared in National Geographic, USA Today, Huffington Post, Christianity Today, Relevant and Red Letter Christian. She currently lives in San Francisco.
