Raise your hand if, at some point during your college career, you talked about starting a literary magazine. A real print one, with fiction, poetry, satires, and reviews? And you would just go ahead and run it in your spare time, while working and raising a family, because you’re that dedicated to literature and entertainment? Yep, me too.
Well, Amos Hunt, from my college, actually did it.
He started the Grub Street Grackle back in 2007, and although there have been some wobbles along the way, the Grub Street Grackle is still standing. He’s started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the relaunch. They are almost halfway to their goal, with 11 days left.
This morning, Buzzfeed ran a post called 17 Intriguing Kickstarter Incentives, and the Grub Street Grackle is #10!
