The MAGA Bomber Is Caught, and He’s in BIG Trouble

Florida man is in deep trouble.

So, at this point, you’ve probably heard plenty about the individual apprehended today, in connection to a rash of potentially explosive devices that were mailed to various Democrats, or those perceived to be “anti-Trump.”

No, I didn’t get one.

Law enforcement, following the tell-tale signatures of the various packages tracked down the suspect to Florida, and by late morning on Friday, they’d swooped in and arrested 56 year old Cesar Sayoc, from Aventura, Florida.

He was arrested in Plantation, Florida. That’s in the district represented by Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

Wasserman-Schultz’s address was used as the return address on all the packages.

So who is this angry lunatic?

He is a registered Republican with a criminal record that includes felony theft, drug and fraud charges dating back to 1991.

Public records show he was also once arrested and accused of threatening to use a bomb.

A real peach.

And was he ever a Democrat operative, attempting to invigorate the base, a Soros stooge, or was he every inch the MAGA bomber that social media has dubbed him?

Well, skimming his social media pages is both disturbing and enlightening.

He mentions everyone who was sent one of these packages, and not in a positive way.

OH – then there was the white van that was confiscated by authorities that I showed you in my last piece.

He was MAGAing. He was MAGAing so hard!

There are other photos of him at Trump rallies with his MAGA hat and “CNN Sucks” sign.

There’s still a lot that hasn’t been announced, but at least one news outlet has quoted Sayoc as saying, upon his apprehension, that those devices wouldn’t hurt anybody and that he wouldn’t hurt anybody.

If that’s true, then maybe he should have stepped aside and counted to 10 before sending that first device, because he’s going to be hit with some serious charges for playing Trump MAGA superfan.

And let’s be clear. I don’t think Trump is involved in this. Sayoc is responsible for Sayoc.

The hope is that this incident will shock Trump into curbing his general nature and tamping down his divisive rhetoric.

You never know how many mentally unstable individuals could be listening and taking notes.

On Friday afternoon, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, with FBI Director Christopher Wray at his side, read off the list of serious charges Sayoc is facing.

The charges include interstate transportation of an explosive, illegal mailing of explosives, threats against former presidents and other persons, threatening interstate commerce and assaulting federal officers.

And while none actually detonated, authorities repeatedly pointed out that as basic as the devices were, they were still functional.

Other details that have emerged are that each package also contained a photo of the intended target, with a red “X” over the faces.

This was nasty, politically driven, and meant to intimidate, if nothing else.

I trusted that whoever was behind this was so dull witted that they’d be caught, quickly.

I was right.

This was the ugliness of our politics at its extreme. Let’s just be thankful that no one was hurt.
