You can see the photo here. Powerline also has a good link to get up to speed with the story. CUANAS also has the story and adds this thought:

This “Independance Uprising” is a residual effect of America’s “cowboy-like” policies. Our “imperialism” has spread democracy to two countries already in the past two years, and now a third country is threatened with democracy. We live in frightening times, and we have Bushitler to thank for it.

The hunger for freedom and Democratic representation is breaking out all over the world…due to the vision and tenacity of ONE MAN who would not back down, not even in the face of unprecedented negative media coverage, unprecedented organized demonstrations, unprecedented machinations against him. Had Bush not stood firm, Blair would not have. Howard would not have.

For my liberal friends who still can’t see past “Bush is BAD…what about medicare, what about social security, what about __________ (fill in the blank)” I’ll say it again: NONE of those concerns of yours are worth butkus if America is continually under threat by Islamofascist regimes raising up murderers and blaming the United States for every bad thing. Destroy those regimes, bring the people into the 21st century. Educate them, help them get into the marketplace of ideas and goods…and the threat will end.

And then, you can get back to all the carping about everything that is wrong. By then you can put it on Hillary’s shoulders.

I remember reading a story, about Winston Churchill. After a caning by a cruel headmaster who, as he beat him, also mocked his stutter (yes, Winston had a terrible stutter in his youth) and his poor scholarship, Churchill stood up, stared the headmaster in the eye and said, “I shall be a greater man than you.”

Bush has been treated cruelly by the left and the press. And he is much greater than the sum (or any part) of them.

But it’s probably a good thing that the media and the left so hate the man. It’s probably what set his spine.

Afterthought: I have a question, though…and I’m not trying to be out of line or anything, I have all respect for him…but where the heck is DRUDGE on this? Used to be a story like this, he’d have the picture up there with a siren! Now, he seems to have a fascination for the Avian flues (he’s had that picture of the ducks up there twice in two weeks), the Clintons and Paris Hilton. All of that is nice – we like a little gossip with the news, and we want to know about the flu…but this is HUGE news. The urge to break free from tyranny and enter into a democracy seems to be breaking out all over the world – in surprising places – and (it MUST be said) all due to one man – The American President – and Drudge is MIA on the story. Seems to be happening a lot.
