… The number one gripe most non-Christians have with Christians is that we are hypocrites. Yeah and? Yes, but we are all hypocrites – Christians and non-Christians alike. Think about it for a second. Any parent who tells their kid to listen and obey the rules can easily recall incidents of childhood rebellion from their own past. Does this mean that parents have no right to tell their children what to do and impose their parenting beliefs on them? No,... Read more

Course Correction: Sister Carol Keehan Now Opposes Obama ‘Accommodation’ for HHS Mandate… WASHINGTON — In a striking reversal with unpredictable political consequences, President Barack Obama’s most powerful ally in his fight with the U.S. bishops over the contraception mandate has reversed herself. … I’ve never been much of a fan of fantasy fiction mostly because the stories are made up of people whose names I can’t pronounce; stupid Nordic, elfish sounding names with too many vowels and unnecessary “y”s living in some pseudo-medieval time, that have a genealogy longer and more dry than a phone book. I can never keep up with who sired who in the House of Whatever from the regal blood line of Lord Whosit. There’s that and [whisper]... Read more

An image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was spared from a fire that left an entire parish in ashes in rubble. The heroic staff emptied the water department hoses ..and put out the fire. The chapel was reduced to rubble and it was when they began to remove the charred remains that they discovered the “miracle”. The wooden box [frame] with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe was burned minimally, while the altar wall that held it was destroyed... Read more
