Cathleen will be the Saturday keynote speaker at the 6th biennial Festival of Faith & Music at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is scheduled also to lead a workshop on Saturday afternoon.

- June 21-24, 2012: The Wild Goose Festival
Shakori Hills, North Carolina
Cathleen will be speaking at this year’s Wild Goose Festival outside Durham, N.C. A cousin of the storied Greenbelt Festival in the U.K., the Goose is a four-day festival of “justice, spirituality, music and art” on a farm in rural North Cackalacky.
She’s scheduled to speak twice on Saturday, June 23:
God Girl’s beloved, Maurice “Crime Boy” Possley, is also speaking at the Goose!
The justice theme of this year’s festival has a “particular focus on the issue of prison, criminal justice reform, and restorative justice, hearing from both survivors of crime who advocate for a more compassionate justice system and exonerated former prisoners; we will offer workshops on forgiveness and revenge, and restorative justice.”
Maurice will be speaking twice on Saturday, June 23:

- Wednesday, September 15, 2010, 7PM: Dominican University’s Sienna Center, River Forest, Illinois
Dominican University’s Siena Center will present a lecture titled “Finding Sacred Space in Cyberspace” by Cathleen Falsani, award-winning religion columnist and contributing editor at Sojourners Magazine . The lecture will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Priory Campus Auditorium, 7200 W. Division Street, River Forest.
Falsani will discuss the spiritual nourishment she has received from her involvement with a shared message board on Facebook. She initially signed up for a Facebook account out of curiosity, but after the death of a college friend, 20 fellow alumni joined a common thread on Facebook where they shared their lives, hopes, fears, struggles and joys together. Her story of how this experience enlivened her faith is shared in her latest book, The Thread: Faith, Friendship and Facebook
