I’m not sure if you’ve heard [written with a very sarcastic pen], but there is a story going around about a narcissistic billionaire, and how much he sacrificed getting rich on the backs of others, and how it compares with the sacrifice of a fallen soldier.

It is no secret, I’m not a Trump fan. No matter how hard you stretch your imagination, you can never fit me into the Trump camp. I could spend the better part of the day sharing point-by-point the reasons why I think Trump is not worth a vote, let me just say, he strikes me as the kind of guy who would look out a window on a beautiful, sunny spring day and complain about all those freakin’ birds, while bitching why the sun needs to shine so bright; he’s the kind of guy who finds the negative in everything – so, no I’m not a Trump fan.

Reason events have added to my discomfort with Trump, and his supporters. Watching him talk about what he sees as “sacrifices” he made to build a personal fortune. Even comparing his “sacrifice” with that of Cpt. Kahn, and the family is laughable – if it wasn’t so sad, and insulting. Let me say this, Mr. Trump, to compare your “sacrifice” of building a personal fortune, with the sacrifice of a man giving his life while serving in the Ministry is beyond misguided. This may come as a shock to Trump [and I say this without apology to Trump], but there is a big difference between giving your life for others, and striving to build a personal fortune by ripping people off, and scamming others; you “sacrificed” nothing – NOTHING.

Before anyone turn this into a debate on the right and wrong of way, let me say, I’m a pacifist. I make no bones about it, I simply believe as a follower of Christ we are called to peace, and war solves nothing; in fact, looking at the wars of the past 20 years we can see they never brought peace, they simply lead us deeper into turmoil. This has very little to do with my being a pacifist, and everything to do with a narcissistic, bigoted, misogynistic, psychotic billionaire thinking his building a personal fortune by ripping people off, abusing workers, disregarding the needs of others is a “sacrifice” equal to a young man giving his life by serving his country.
