The End of The World

The End of The World

TNJ-NEW-2.fwToday is the end of the world, that is according to Chris McCann of the eBible Fellowship.  Since the year 2000 there have been about 40 different dates for the end of the world [“as we know it, but I feel fine” – could not resist]. Everyone from Jerry Falwell saying the world will end on January 1, 2000 to the infamous Harald Camping’s claim that the world would end on May 21, 2011; keep in mind, when that did not happen Camping “updated” the end to be October 21, 2011 [keeping with the “21” theme]; which is kind of weird, because Ronald Weinland said Jesus would return on September 29, 2011. I kind of wish these guys would get together and share dates – it would make planning the end so much easier.

Come on people, don’t you realize that all this predicting simply makes us all look like clowns. Let’s not focus on the Second Coming, let’s try to figure out the First Coming and get that right.

But just in case you need a reminder:

Matthew 24:36 [The Message]

“But the exact day and hour? No one knows that, not even heaven’s angels, not even the Son. Only the Father knows.”
