The Faith of Our Founders: Natural Law and What Made America Great

What was the faith of America’s founding fathers? While most of the founders were personally Christians, the question that vexed them most was upon what foundation was the Political State to be built. If Christ was the foundation of the Church, then was He also the foundation of the body politic, to include its particular laws and institutions of governance? The answer was not so simple, even in their day, when everyone was some kind of Christian.

In this episode of Apologetics.com radio (aired on KKLA in Los Angeles 3/18/2023), I interviewed Logan Zeppieri of the Claremont Institute and Darren Guerra, professor of Political Science at Biola University, to discuss what the founders believed was the best foundation for government, namely, Natural Law.
