Call To Prayer!
Dear Patheos Friends! Heaviness has stretched like a cloud this week upon our nation. We were in lament with the unprovoked attack and death of Ms. Zarutsha. Then the unthinkable this week in the incomprehensible assassination of Mr. Kirk. America is at a crossroad! America is crying out! America needs Jesus!
Prayer Is The Avenue
Without a doubt, prayer is the avenue that can get us to choose God at this crossroad. Prayer can help us at this crying out we are seeing in our nation. Prayer can lead us to the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ who can redeem lives in our nation. Whether you like to pray or not, this is an invitation to pray for our nation and her people. A few minutes a day, pouring our hearts to God in prayer will release God’s supernatural power over the evil spirits unleased in our nation. It is prayer time America!
The Model Prayer: Matthew 6: 9-14
This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Enlightened Hearts: Ephesians 1: 15-23
Prayer of Revival: Various Scriptures
O God, we ask revive us so that we may rejoice in You (Psalm 85:6). We pray that You Restore us O God; make Your face to shine on us that we may be delivered from our backsliding (Psalm 80:7). We ask, LORD, Rise up and help us; restore us to Yourself because of Your redeeming love (Psalm 44:8). Heavenly Father, grant us a spirit of brokenness and repentance as a nation (Isaiah 57:15). Living God, we ask that You give us a fresh and powerful vision of Your holiness (Isaiah 6). Almighty God, create in us a clean heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us as a nation (Psalm 51:1). O Lord, we plead that You do not take away the sense of Your presence from us, and do not take away Your Holy Spirit from us (Psalm 51:11; Revelation 2:5). Holy God, cause us to acknowledge our transgressions, and to see that our sins are ever before You (Psalm 51:3). LORD, we plead and ask that in Your wrath, remember mercy (Habakkuk 3:2). In Jesus Name We Pray!
