I’ve been kicking the idea of blogging around for about a year now. Back in the day when Myspace was cool I loved blogging. It was my outlet in life. I cringe when I go back to read those blogs now. I had a really bad mouth, not to mention the fact that I was completely lost. One of the good things about reading them is I can see how far I’ve come in the last four years.
Boy is that an understatement. I’ve gone from a crazy, drunk, clubbing, mess of a woman and mother into a devout Catholic wife and mother. How does that happen? Well that’s why I started ths blog, to explain it. It’s a long story and it’s still being written.
I’m not really sure where to begin, so I’ll start by intoducing myself. My name is Leticia . I’m married and have 4 kiddos of my own and my husband has 3. So that is 7 kids total. I was baptized Catholic as a baby, but never went through formation. I recently went through RCIA and received the rest of my Sacraments. My kids, husband, marriage in the Church and step children followed.
Becoming Catholic in Faith and not just name was not an easy process for this family. We are still getting through it. Some days are better than others, but that’s life no matter what you are doing, at least this way there is a joy and peace in our life that we have never had before. Sometimes you can’t tell we are at peace. At any given moment you can walk into our house and can hear 2 or 3 people yelling to stop yelling. It’s usually a wreck, there are usually dishes that need to be done, someone is hungry, and the floor needs to be mopped 3 seconds after I just mopped it. I’m always busy and doing something. Sometimes I just get lost on Facebook, but even that is different from before. Now I get lost in the latest Catholic news and discussions and not just in the latest drama.
Life has changed, and I’m glad. I wouldn’t go back for anything. This is a blog telling my story. And it comes with a disclaimer. I’m not by any means a Theologian, or Philosopher. Or good speller for that matter. I’m just me and these are just my ramblings. :)
