Christmas Gift Ideas For That Special Marine In Your Life

Christmas Gift Ideas For That Special Marine In Your Life 2017-01-24T17:13:23-05:00

I just got a note from a reader asking about a USMC St. Christopher Medal.

Dear Sir,

I am trying to locate one of the above mentioned medals for my husband.  He served in Vietnam in 1966 – 1968.  My Larry is a very devoted Catholic and has been going through a rough time because of a serious accident that happened to our Grandson 2 years.  Any help you could give me in locating one of these medals would be appreciated.  Thank you for your time.

Prayers for Larry, por favor.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I had never heard of such a thing. When I was in the Corps, see, I wasn’t a Catholic yet. The idea of such a medal sounds interesting to me, though, and wouldn’t you know it, but St.Christopher US Marine Corp Medal’s are available at Amazon.

There are a number of them to choose from, and Military St. Christopher Medals are available for the other branches of the service, too.

But then I spied a Marine Corps St. Michael Medal. Oh my.

Want! Need!

*A word of advice from an old salt. Don’t buy this for someone headed to bootcamp or OCS. They’ll never wear it in training, as they don’t rate wearing the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor yet, and jewelry will be stored, along with their other personal effects, until graduation day. Give it for graduation day instead.
