Once again, Pope Francis appeals for a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Syria. Specifically, the Holy Father asks that all leaders of the nations meeting in St. Petersburg today, “lay aside the futile pursuit of a military solution. Rather, let there be a renewed commitment to seek, with courage and determination, a peaceful solution through dialogue and negotiation of the parties, unanimously supported by the international community.” Here is the text of the letter in full.
