Fun story out of Alabama this week. A 16 year old boy decided to go to his local library and make sure they all knew Jesus. Apparently, he followed library patrons around, continuously asking them about their faith and offering “biblical advice.”
After several warnings, the library banned him from their building. From the article:
Claudya Muller, the director of the Chattahoochee Valley Regional Library System, told the Ledger-Enquirer that the ban “had nothing to do with what he was saying, but he was warned multiple times. … As people came in, he would approach them. He prevented people from simply using the library.”
Two things that aren’t surprising from this story…
1.) His mom has contacted the American Center for Law and Justice (a Christian advocacy group)
2.) He is home-schooled.
Personally, the library seems like they acted reasonably- given that several library-goers complained about the situation. I’m interested to see how this story ends though- apparently the boy and his parents are “still praying about what to do.”
