From the same people (we think) who brought you The Sissy – The Movie we are proud (?) to present yet another Jack Chick tract made into a cartoon: Tiny Shoes! Obviously we’re not big fans of Jack’s tracts, but I have to say the quality of both of these tract cartoons is much better than I would have ever expected. It’s no Pixar, but kudos to whoever made them. Make sure you grab a box of Kleenex, this one’s... Read more

My friend Brannon, who hosts a great blog called Sanctifying Worship, came across this story on Slate. I think it’s a fantastic example of the “have it your way” American Jesus.   Jesus of Wikipedia Using Christ’s page as a guide to the online encyclopedia’s ten-year history. By Chris Wilson At 1:12 a.m. on March 3, 2001, Jimmy Wales created a page for Jesus on a three-month-old site called Wikipedia. “Jesus Christ is a central figure in Christianity,” he wrote. The site’s... Read more

I know this is incredibly difficult to believe, but William Tapley’s prophecies about Obama being the “leopard king” apparently weren’t on target. Turns out he’s not the devil’s handyman after all. Barack Obama has been converted! Of course, as the Third Eagle keeps talking everything goes downhill as he starts picking apart the “sins” of the Arizona shooting victims. Then he takes things a bit further and connects the shooter to biblical prophecy. And to top it all off he... Read more

Maybe it’s just me, but I find it really difficult to take a church seriously when its name is: Austin Power House Church. Not making that up. That’s really their name. I wonder if there church slogan is “Groovy baby!” Maybe their budget is “One….Hundred…..BILLION DOLLARS!” Anyway, in their attempt to be “not your average church” they had the revolutionary idea of using pop culture to communicate…..well I’m not sure what they are trying to communicate. Apparently they love them... Read more

2000 years of church history is a lot to know, maybe even too much. It’s also full of a lot of “boring” dates and names. So, why not break it all down to a 2:32 cartoon and use what I would argue is the greatest narration in the history of cinema. Read more

Believe it or not Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. If you’re tired of the same old box of chocolates or dinner and a movie then might we suggest Date Night at the Creation Museum. Seriously. We’re not making this up. After all, who needs Luther Vandross and Marvin Gaye when you can listen to a lecture about being “unequally yoked” from Creation Museum founder Ken Ham?? Hopefully it’s science and religion that are unequally yoked, otherwise you better leave... Read more
