20 Days of fasting from negative self-judgment and criticism

20 Days of fasting from negative self-judgment and criticism July 20, 2013

The challenge is almost finished and thousands of people from all over the world are participating. It’s been true to its title, a real challenge. We learned to step back and observe the way we speak to ourselves. It’s not pretty. If you spoke to someone else the way you speak to yourself, they’d likely and rightly end your relationship. Imagine raising a child inside your mental environment. Most of us witnessing this would call it child abuse.

The point in discovering that you’re not very nice to yourself is not to give yourself something else to complain about. It’s to empower you to make better choices and cultivate a more loving relationship with yourself.

When you change your self-talk and make forgiveness of self (which will naturally lead to forgiveness of others) as natural as breathing, everything else will change. Your relationships will improve or fall away. Your finances will reflect your inner view of worthiness. Your body won’t need to indulge in food for comfort and safety. When you create a safe, self-accepting and approving environment your world will reflect it.

Can you think of any more important work? Every gift you want to give to the world rests on a foundation of you feeling secure and confident in yourself.

It’s not too late to take the challenge. You can find the whole series at www.cynthiaoccelli.com/fast. It’s free and all in one place until the end of the month.

Give yourself this gift and let me know how you progress.
