#4 Remember the Shabbat Day to keep it Holy. Exodus 20:8, Deuteronomy 5:12
Let me be clear, Muslims do not observe the Sabbath on Saturday. Neither do Christians. But like Sunday for the Christians (successfully hijacked by NFL), Friday is the holy day for the Muslims.
Islamic Commandment
O you who believe, when the prayer is announced on Friday, then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew. The Qur’an 62:9
The Qur’an does acknowledge that Sabbath was made holy for the Jews.
And We said to them, “Do not violate Sabbath, and We took from them a solemn Covenant” The Qur’an (4:154)
#5 Honor your father and your mother. Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16
Islamic Commandment
Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. The Qur’an 17:23
Worship Allah and associate nothing with him, and be good to parents and relatives. The Qur’an 4:36
#6. You shall not murder. Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17
Islamic Commandment
The believers are those who do not call upon another god alongside Allah or kill the soul which Allah has made sacred except by right of justice. The Qur’an 25:68
This commandment to Moses to protect the sanctity of life was also mentioned in the Qur’an, and by reference, commanded on the Muslims.
On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person – unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. The Qur’an 5:32
#7 You shall not commit adultery. Exodus 20:14, Deuteronomy 5:18
Islamic Commandment:
This is not only prohibited but the command is not to even “go near” it.
Do not approach (even get close to) unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is immoral and an evil way. The Qur’an17:32
This is also in line with Jesus’ teaching when he was asked about this commandment, he replied, “Anyone who looks at a woman with lust has committed adultery”.
#8 You shall not steal. Exodus 20:15, Deuteronomy 5:19
Islamic Commandment:
And (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off their hands as a punishment for what they have earned, an exemplary punishment from Allah; and Allah is Mighty, Wise. But whoever repents after his iniquity and reforms (himself), then surely Allah will turn to him (mercifully); surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. The Qur’an 5:38-39
