Back in 2016, I came up with a list of 29 Halal Spots for people to check out during Super Bowl 50. Now 10 years later the Super Bowl is back in the Bay Area but now we have a lot more Halal Options (Alhamdullilah)! Whether you’re tailgating at Levi’s or hosting the crew at home, here is the definitive HalalFest guide to 60 spots that are guaranteed to score.

The Red Zone: Immediate Stadium Access (Santa Clara)

These are the heavy hitters located closest to Levi’s Stadium—perfect for game-day fuel.

Kabob Trolley (Levi’s Stadium): If you’re lucky enough to be at the Big Game, you can get some Halal wraps inside the Levi’s!

Kabob & Curry’s (Santa Clara): A South Bay legend for authentic Pakistani BBQ and Karahis.

Fremont Kabab (Santa Clara): Known for authentic Afghan kebabs and generous portions. The Chapli Kebab is a Must Try!

Holyland Restaurant (Santa Clara): A community staple for traditional Mediterranean comfort food.

Shawarmaji (Santa Clara): Authentic Jordanian-style shawarma. The Chicken al-Arabi with extra Toum (garlic sauce) is a must have!

Teriyaki Madness (Santa Clara): Partial Halal with select menu items! Try the Spicy Chicken bowl with noodles & veggies!

Krusti Pizza (Santa Clara): Great family-owned Halal Pizza joint which also serves great burgers, pasta and specialty items like Mandi and Biriyani on the weekends!

Silicon Valley & South Bay: The Championship Core   

El Halal Amigos (Willow Glen/ San Jose): Authentic Halal Mexican – the brisket tacos are a championship-level play.

Charminar Restaurant (Sunnyvale): Widely considered the king of Hyderabadi Biryani in Northern California. New Larger Location than their previous “Charminar Express”

iJAVA Cafe (Willow Glen/ San Jose): Premier Halal American brunch and high-end brisket, bowls and drinks in a modern atmosphere.

Safar by Karimi (Cupertino): Beautiful Indian fusion with an upscale vibe. Great place to chill out after the Big Game!

Kusan Bazaar (Milpitas): Uyghur Cuisine for the win! Great long noodles, big chicken plate and lamb dishes in a modern setting!

Fred’s Burger (North San Jose): One of the best Halal Burgers in the South Bay! They got Halal Hot Dogs as well.

Champa Kitchen (North San Jose): The best (and only) spot in the South Bay for authentic Halal Vietnamese Pho.

HFC (Sunnyvale): Halal Fried Chicken. Nothing more needs to be said!

Haleh Pastry & Cafe (Campbell): Persian Cafe with a variety of cookies, pastries, cakes and also Brunch items!

Fiery Chickz (formerly The Angry Hot Chicken – San Jose): Nashville-style heat for fans who like a spicy challenge.

Dough Burger (North San Jose): The “Halal In-N-Out.” Enough said.

Darda Seafood (Milpitas): The “OG” for Islamic Chinese cuisine and hand-pulled noodles.

Wayback Burgers (Milpitas): Great burgers, sandwiches, shakes and more!

Tayyibaat Meat & Grill (Milpitas): Exceptional Afghan Kebabs & Burgers with an on-site artisan butcher shop.

Halal Gyro Express (North San Jose): Two locations close by to each other in San Jose, but both have great lamb & chicken over rice plates. They started out as a food cart in downtown San Jose.

Karimi Restaurant (Downtown): Popular Indian – Pakistani restaurant which is known for the Chicken Malai Boti as well as their Hakka noodle dishes!

New Tandoori Cafe (San Jose): Fast, consistent, and flavorful tandoori platters. Try the Tandoori Chicken Wrap.

House of Falafel (San Jose): A neighborhood favorite for fresh, crispy falafel. Recently moved from their original location in Cupertino

Lados (Sunnyvale): Trendy Pakistani Street food—the “Zinger” burgers are a must-try.

Willow Street Pizza (Willow Glen/ San Jose): Executive Chef Hisham turned this 30-year-old staple into a modern marvel with a full zabiha halal menu!

Thai Recipe Cuisine (San Jose): The only fully halal & authentic Thai restaurant in the Bay Area!

Lahori Restaurant (North San Jose): Popular Pakistani restaurant that also serves Halwa Puri daily!

Mifen Yo (Cupertino): If you like Spicy Ramen Challenges this is the spot for you! Note even the “mild spice” is still pretty hot!

Manakish Oven & Grill (San Jose): A must try for Manakish (Arabic style pizzas) and more!

San Francisco: The City All-Stars

Fikscue Craft BBQ (Thrive City): The viral sensation where Texas BBQ meets Indonesian spice—now a city flagship!

Pakwan (16th St): The iconic SF institution for Pakistani BBQ and Karahi.

Kinara (Geary St): The go-to spot for Tikka Masala fusion pizza. Their BBQ Ribs are a must have!

Cracked & Battered (Potrero Hill): Famous for Halal fried chicken and waffles.

HalalStreet Hot Pot (Newark): An interactive and fun Halal Chinese hot pot experience.

Halal Wings Plus (Fremont): The essential spot for your Super Bowl Sunday wing platters.

Falafel Fremont (formerly Falafel Corner – Fremont): A pioneer in the Halal fast food game!

Ike’s (Fremont): The only Ike’s location where you can get any sandwich with halal beef, turkey, or chicken! Note: they also serve non-halal meat at this location.

Oakland, Berkeley & The Tri-Valley

Shawarmaji (Oakland): Authentic Jordanian-style shawarma (get it “Arabic Style”).

Crave Subs (Berkeley): Massive, creative Halal deli sandwiches.

Sultan’s Kebab (Pleasanton): A Peninsula staple for fresh Turkish platters and salads.

The Super Bowl ends Sunday, but the real celebration begins on Saturday Night, March 7th, 2026 at the Bay Area’s Official Suhoor Fest at the Newpark Mall parking lot in Newark, CA!
