#McConnelling

#McConnelling March 16, 2014

I confess that I couldn’t resist Jon Stewart’s invitation to participate in #mcconnelling. You’ll find my contribution below.

For more on the phenomenon, check out this article from the Daily Mail, which explains:

An unconventional campaign ad featuring video clips of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has brought parodies out of the woodwork, mocking the Kentuckian’s choice to distribute a message containing pictures and music – but no words.

The original ad appeared online on March 11, defying the conventional wisdom that only ads full of messages are worth shooting and splicing together.

The Daily Show‘s John Stewart promptly found that just about any alternative soundtrack would fit with the 2-1/2-minute silent mishmash of video clips…

Since then the Twitter hashtag #McConnelling has produced new levels of mocking innovation…

I went for less a mocking approach than a prophetic one. Anyway, enjoy. And share yours or your favorites with us.
