Arthur Henry King, on Mormon Scholars Testify

The late Arthur Henry King had a significant impact on me, and a pivotal impact on my wife.  So I very much enjoyed putting something together for an entry from him on Mormon Scholars Testify.  (Several have asked that I include prominent Mormon scholars and scientists from the past, and I’m happy to do that occasionally.)  What Dr. King has to say in the passage that I’ve chosen seems particularly relevant to the current LDS Sunday school curriculum, which is focused, this year, on the Doctrine and Covenants and the history of the Church:
