BYU’s “Phantom”

DeLaney Westfall as Christine Daaë,
Preston Yates as the Phantom

My wife and I went out to dinner tonight and then to BYU’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera with friends, a sister-in-law, and a couple of nieces.

I have to say that it was certainly among the finest BYU productions I’ve seen.  I’ve never been an unambivalent fan of Phantom, but BYU did a magnificent job with this one.

Too bad, though.  Tonight’s was the closing performance.

I wish I could have recommended it sooner.  It was apparently sold out anyway, though.
