The Mormon Music of Mark Abernathy and The Sabre Rattlers

Mark Abernathy

I wish that I had enough money to be a patron of the arts, a Maecenus.  (Classically educated types will get the reference, I think.)  But I don’t.

Still, I’m really serious about trying to support — if only by constituting myself as a cheering section — fresh artistic expressions, especially of the Restored Gospel.

With that explanation, I want to call your attention to Mark Abernathy and “The Sabre Rattlers,” about whom a very nice article –with recorded specimens — has just appeared:

Who knew that Harry Reid and I had anything in common beyond our membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Thanks so much for this link. I especially liked the All is Well version. I’ve got to get their stuff now.
