Live, from (Very Near) Lincoln Center

The Manhattan New York Temple
of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints
(The temple’s four long vertical windows are plainly visible.
The Juilliard School of Music is in the left foreground.
Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall is in the right foreground.)

My wife and I attended church today here with the Morningside Heights Ward, which meets in the same building in which the Manhattan New York Temple is located.

Unless I’m misremembering, there is only one other temple in the world that shares the same building with an ordinary Sunday chapel, and that is in the similarly dense and unspeakably expensive urban environment of Hong Kong:

The Hong Kong China Temple
of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints

Anyway, it was fun to be there at church again.  It’s been a while.  It was nice, as well, to visit for a while once more with Richard and Claudia Bushman, and to meet for the first time Kyle Monson, of the LDS group blog By Common Consent, and Mark Abernathy, the principal force behind The Sabre Rattlers, whose music I’ve been promoting for some time and will promote again right now.  (Consider it done.  For the moment.)
