Kara Lindsay, in a scene from “Newsies”

My wife and I attended a performance of Newsies here tonight, about a block and a half from our hotel.  Good, clean fun, though perhaps not very reliable, historically speaking.  Light fluff, really, and a bit predictable.  But the choreography was excellent — I’m not much for dancing, but even I have to admit that it was good, and we had excellent seats to see it from — and some of the music was pretty good.  It’s extremely popular, and I can easily understand why.  A good family show.  I recommend it.

I have more to report from our sojourn in New York, but that may have to wait.  I was in Israel just long enough to guarantee jet lag on my return to the United States, and it’s hitting me right now.
