A couple of upcoming items that you might want to note on your calendar if you haven’t already done so:

The Academy for Temple Studies will be holding a conference on 23 October on the campus of Utah State University, in Logan.  The title of the conference is “The Lady of the Temple: Examining the Divine Feminine in the Judeo-Christian Tradition.”  Margaret Barker, Laurence Hemming, William Dever, Alyson von Feldt, and Valerie Hudson are among the scheduled speakers.  It’s necessary to register in advance.  If there are still any places left, they’re probably few and far between.

The tenth annual meeting of the Society for Mormon Philosophy and Theology will be held 31 October through 2 November on the campus of Utah Valley University, in Orem.  More details on the program will be available shortly.
