“Seven Egyptian Christians Executed on Benghazi Beach”

It’s difficult for me to imagine on what basis the murderers who carry out such outrages believe that they’re acting in accordance with Islam.  But I suspect that that’s precisely what they believe.

The rest of the Muslim world — and certainly the Muslim community in America and the West — needs to speak out, loudly and clearly, against such belief and such acts.  Their condemnation needs to become a roar of outrage.

Will it?

It’s not only the lives of Christians that are at stake.  The future of Islam itself is in the balance.
