Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill (d. 1965)

I spent the evening, with my wife and many of our neighbors, at our party’s local precinct caucus.  We met in the gym of a local elementary school.

I couldn’t help but be reminded of Winston Churchill’s famous comment:  “Democracy,” he said on the floor of the British House of Commons on 11 November 1947, “is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.”
