We participated in a session at the San Diego Temple this afternoon with the friend who’s been down here with us.
Afterward, we dropped her off at the airport.
We next had a really good seafood dinner at Roy’s San Diego Waterfront restaurant, right on the marina. Beautiful weather, too.
And then, after relaxing for a while in our hotel room, we saw an excellent and very funny (if occasionally somewhat raunchy) production of Cole Porter’s Kiss Me, Kate on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage at the Old Globe Theatre, strolling before and afterwards through Balboa Park (which is interesting and pretty by day, and beautifully illuminated by night).
Meanwhile, elsewhere, the denizens of at least one sad little message board continued to vie with one another throughout the day — as they do most days — in expressing their disdain for me and their horrified outrage at my alleged offenses against humanity and sound reasoning.
As they typically do, they were essentially making most of this stuff up, through hostile misreading, antagonistic extrapolations, and wildly inaccurate mind-reading.
But they seem to enjoy it.
I hope so.
I had a really nice day.
